As the culmination of the CBSE board exams for Classes 10 and 12, the Physics paper presented unexpected challenges for many.

According to student feedback, the paper was notably tough and lengthy compared to previous expectations. Parth from Cambridge School, Noida, expressed that the overall difficulty exceeded his initial estimations, echoing sentiments shared by Yukta from Bal Bharti School, who found the actual paper tougher than the sample version.

Swati, also from Bal Bharti School, highlighted the tricky nature of the MCQs, emphasizing the absence of alternative choices in challenging questions. Divyanshi from Bal Bharti Public School echoed the sentiment, noting the paper’s lengthiness and the absence of a revision timer, which added to the pressure.

Ayush from Cambridge School, Noida, described the paper as exceedingly difficult, surpassing the level of sample and practice papers. Similarly, Nidhi from Bal Bharti School found numericals demanding, albeit manageable, while lamenting the challenging MCQs.

Shampa Chakraborty, senior Physics teacher at Hariyana Vidya Mandir Kolkata, affirmed that this year’s paper aligned with the heightened difficulty of the sample, presenting a moderate to challenging assessment. She underscored the concept-based and calculative nature of the MCQs, further adding to the complexity.

Pratyusha Nandi, also from Hariyana Vidya Mandir, Kolkata, highlighted discrepancies in the question setting, especially in the context of electromagnetic waves. Deepak Bhatnagar, Physics HOD at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, concurred that the paper posed moderate to difficult challenges, requiring thorough preparation and problem-solving skills.

In summary, the CBSE Class 12 Physics paper for the year has been deemed particularly challenging by both students and teachers, with a consensus emerging on the unexpected difficulty of MCQs and case study questions.
