HC quashes case against Premalatha

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday allowed the petition filed by Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam leader Premalatha Vijayakanth who sought quashing of lower court proceedings pending against her in Dindigul.

Justice G. K. Ilanthiraiyan quashed the proceedings pending before the lower court against Ms. Premalatha Vijaykanth and three others. In 2011, Dindigul police registered a case against them for violation of election code of conduct, based on a complaint filed by a Village Administrative Officer.
