As many as 28 banks — 12 national banks and 16 private banks — will be taking part in the mela. Madurai MP Su Venkatesan urged for students to make the most of the mela (camp).
“Students who completed schooling must not miss out on going for higher studies because they are not able to afford the fees. That is why this academic year, we have been making efforts to make available educational loans amounting up to Rs 500 crore for students in Madurai district,” said the MP.
Officials have been making efforts to create awareness among students. “Three meetings have also been held. So far, educational loans amounting to Rs 55 crore have been disbursed to students.
