COIMBATORE: While 30-year-old Rajeswari continues to battle for her life at a private multi-speciality hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment for her injuries caused by a mishap, a family member confirmed that her condition as on Wednesday evening, was critical. She is in the intensive care unit (ICU) and is yet to regain consciousness.

“On Tuesday evening and on Wednesday morning, when the team of doctors examined her, we were told that the left leg which is badly injured, is beginning to develop infection. If the infection does not subside, doctors may have to amputate the leg below the knee,” Sivan. P. R, victim’s uncle told DC on Wednesday evening.

Chithra and Naganathan, the victim’s parents, are waiting for their daughter to regain consciousness. The victim has medical insurance and her family is currently meeting the medical expenses with financial help pouring in from those close to the family.
